Anthony Bland is the managing director and market executive for Merrill Lynch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this position, he oversees all activities for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Market, which includes the management of 210 financial advisors and client associates. Anthony Bland additionally serves on the board at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Museum of Discovery and Science.
The Joe DiMaggio American Icon Award is presented annually by the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to individuals who best embody the high standards represented by both the hospital and its namesake. Past award winners have ranged from political leaders such as former United States President Bill Clinton to legendary athletes, including Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
